Representative actions under the GDPR continue to raise important procedural questions across Europe. In a recent order, the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court referred several questions to the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the interpretation of the GDPR and jurisdiction in representative proceedings against Meta.
This article examines the issues referred to the Court of Justice and considers their significance for the future development of representative actions under European data protection law.
